IVY MARGARET BALDOCK (nee OAKLEY) Ivy Margaret Baldock, aged 94 years, beloved wife of Harry Pat Baldock, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 1999 at the Middlechurch Personal Care Home. Besides her loving husband Pat, she is survived by one son Vic; sons-in-law, Bob Wright and Will Lenton; grandchildren, Pat Baldock (Carol), Penny Mitchell, Terry, Brent (Louise), Glenn, Brad and Darlene Wright, Diana Lenton (Harry Davidson), Janice Lowry (Gary), Gail Reichert (Ryan) and Darwin Lenton (Marlene) as well as numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Also left to mourn are her brothers, Alf and Eddie (Betty) sister Jean Timmins and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughters, Kathleen Kay Wright and Myrtle Lenton; daughter-in-law, Marg; grandson, Larry and Kevin Wright; brothers, Leonard, Hudson and Bill and sister Dolly. Ivy was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on July 27, 1905 and grew up in the Parkdale area. It was at the West St. Paul Municipal Hall where Ivy met Pat Baldock; and following a short courtship, the two were married 75 years ago. Together, Ivy and pat settled at Middlechurch, Manitoba and raised their family. They remained in Middlechurch until their retirement in 1967 at which time they decided to sell their home and begin thirteen years of travelling which included a four month cruise around the world. In 1980 they moved to Morden, Manitoba and resided there until returning to Middlechurch in 1998. Never on to sit idle, Ivy enjoyed many hobbies which included knitting, needlepoint, sewing as well as various other crafts. She also volunteered with the Red Cross as was an active member of St. Pauls Anglican Church in Middlechurch. Prayers will be said on Friday evening (tonight) at 7:00 p.m.at St. Pauls Anglican Church, 299 Balderstone Road, Middlechurch, Manitoba. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 25 at 11:00 a.m. also in the church with Rev. Fraser Hunter Officiating. Interment will follow in the Parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Pat, Terry, Brent, Glenn, Brad and Darwin. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
