MAURICE HOLOD After a lengthy illness on Wednesday, September 22, 1999 at the Stonewall and District Health Centre, Maurice Holod aged 76 years, beloved husband of Jean of Stonewall, MB. Born August 15, 1923 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Maurice was raised at Rosa, MB and then moved to Stonewall. Maurice and Jean farmed and raised their family in the Stonewall area and then retired to Stonewall. Maurices pleasures in life were his family, his trips with Jean, woodworking and visiting with family and neighbours. Predeceased by his father Ted; brother Bill and father and mother-in-law Harry and Mary Zazelenchuk. Survived besides his wife Jean are his son, Ron (Tammy) two daughters, Darlene (Pete) Armstrong and Doreen (Tony) Yanchuk; his grandchildren Aaron, Roslynn, Chris and Heather; mother Sophie; sister Olga (Mike) Hanchar; brothers, Modeste (Shirley) and Nestor (Marie). One sister-in-law Verna (Gordon) Odowichuk. There are numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall on Saturday, September 25 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. C. Chapman will officiate. The Service will conclude at the chapel. Friends who so desire may make donations to the Stonewall and District Health Centre Foundation, 601-3rd Ave. S. Stonewall. The family wishes to thank Dr. Morham and the Staff of the Stonewall Hospital for their wonderful care during Maurices illness. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of the arrangements.
