PEGGY JEAN McINTYRE (nee SHEARER) On September 21, 1999 at Carman Memorial Hospital, Peggy Jean McIntyre (nee Shearer) peacefully passed away with family be her side. Peggy was predeceased by her husband Norman on July 16, 1999 and leaves to mourn her daughter Frances and Leonard Friesen, Andrea, Kristopher and Gregory; her son Bryan and Janice McIntyre, Derrick, Jill and Jenna all of Elm Creek; her two sisters Isa Juhl of Elm Creek and Eleanor and Keith Porter of Carman; two brothers-in-law Dougald McIntyre and Stewart and Jean McIntyre of Elm Creek; on sister-in-law Ina McIntyre of Portage la Prairie, brother-in-law Sid Hamit of Carman and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her parents James Frazer in 1960 and Jane Rae Shearer in 1967; two brothers, James in 1981 and Harry in 1980; two sisters Flora in 1971 and Nellie in 1989. Peggy was born on April 18, 1925 at Carman Hospital. She attended Wingham School to grade eleven. She spent a year teaching at Oak Lake, MB, she spent two years in Ottawa working for the Civil Service during the war. On October 1, 1948 she married Norman McIntyre and they resided on their farm north of Elm Creek until Normans passing. Peggy lived in Elm Creek until her death. Mom was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was her life. Mom loved the autumn season, picnics and visiting with her friends and neighbours. She was a member of the Wingham U.C.W., Wingham Community Club and the Eastern Star. Moms house was always open. She treasured her best friends - her sisters. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 25, at 2:00 p.m. in the Elm Creek United Church in Elm Creek, MB with Rev. Wayne Larstone officiating. Interment will be in the Elm Creek Cemetery. Lunch will follow in the Elm Creek Hall. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Elm Creek United Church, Elm Creek, MB, R0G 0N0.
