MARY LYDIA McRAE Mrs. Mary Lydia McRae, 79 years, of Winnipeg, MB, formerly of Nipigon, ON, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Tuesday, September 21, 1999 at her residence, Maples Personal Care Home, Winnipeg, MB. During her early years, Lydia was involved in a number of businesses, including a tourist camp on Red Lake Highway and Vacationland Motel in Nipigon, and later she farmed in Manitoba. Predeceased by her mother, Mary Elizabeth Atkins; her husband Arthur Durocher in 1967; her husband George McRae in 1978; a daughter Marilyn in infancy; one brother Jim and one sister Vicki both of Nova Scotia. She is survived by two daughters, Marie (husband John) Zamojski of Thunder Bay, ON and Joan (husband Rudy) Kalupar of Winnipeg, MB; one son Joseph McManus of Dorian, ON; eight grandchildren, Trina and Scott, Lisa, Cheryl and Rudy Jr., Mike and Paul and Susie; 11 great grandchildren and three sisters, Mildred (husband John) Trafiak of Winnipeg, Ruth (husband Ralph) Johnson and Lenora (husband Earl) Bent both of Nova Scotia. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Resting at the Elliott Funeral Home Ltd., Nipigon, ON where friends may call from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 25 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Marys Anglican Church in Nipigon with the Rev. D. McClure officiating. Interment in Cliffside Cemetery, Nipigon. Friends so wishing to make donations to the Alzheimer Association of Ontario or to the charity of their choice. Remember me with smile and laughter, Because thats how I will remember you.
