WILLIAM GEORGE CRUISE Suddenly on Wednesday, September 22, 1999 at the Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon, William George Cruise, aged 75 years, beloved husband of Sigrun Cruise of Chatfield. Born October 20, 1923 in the Sharon District, Miami, MB. He moved from Miami to Lundar in 1935 and to Chatfield in 1945 where he lived and farmed for the rest of his life. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Vietta; son Robert William and grandson Dwaine Skrabyk. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 53 years, Sigrun; one sister Margaret; daughter Sharon (Bill) Skrabyk, Ryan and Erin; grandson Keith Cruise (Trina) son of Robert; son Jack (Yvonne) Cruise, Shawn (Nicole), Dennis and Kelly; daughter Viona (Guyle) Colling, Michael and Kyle; daughter Diane, Ian and Lindsay; son Lorne (Karen) Cruise, Jordan, Braden, Graham and William; sisters-in-law, Gwen, Lara and Margaret; brother-in-law Valdi and numerous other relatives and friends. His greatest interest in life was his family always being interested in the activities of all his children and grandchildren. Bill raised purebred Hereford cattle all his life. He was active in 4H for his children and grandchildren, also the Lundar Ag Society, Lundar Bull Sale and the Manitoba Hereford Association. He was recently inducted into the Honour Role of the Canadian Hereford Association. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 27 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chatfield Community Hall with interment to follow in the Lundar Municipal Cemetery. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, 141 Bannatyne Ave., Winnipeg or to a charity of ones choice.
