TARA EWANKIW Suddenly on September 21, 1999 at her residence, Tara Ewankiw passed away at the age of 18 years. Tara leaves to cherish her memory her father Ken; her little sister Kayla; her stepmother Karen; stepbrother and sister Christopher and Christina; grandparents, Harry and Rita and great-grandparents, Carrie Ewankiw and Margaret White. She also leaves her godparents, Cathy and Ken Chernetski; her uncle Greg and aunt Colleen and their children, Jolene and Sam, uncle Ray, aunt Drynda Hoskins; as well as many other family and friends too numerous to mention. Tara was full of life and wasnt one to let lifes problems pull her down. She took great pride in her volunteer work at St. Amant Centre as illustrated by her award for volunteer of the year. Tara found great pleasure in the poems that she wrote. A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 26 between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 27 at 1:00 p.m. in the Meadowood United Church, 1111 Dakota St., St. Vital. Interment will follow in the St. Vital Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Taras memory to St. Amant Inc., 440 River Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2M 3Z9. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the paramedics and staff at the St. Boniface General Hospital.
