JANET CLAIRE TAYLOR (nee SHNOOR) October 27, 1939 - September 10, 1999 Janet passed away peacefully after a valiant fight with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Hillel; mother of Esther (Larry) Genanske, Carolyn (Roger) and sister to Dolly (Wally Zivey) Chudnow; grandmother to Shalia Genanske; auntie to Gloria Chudnow, Donna Chudnow (Steve Goren) and Jodi Chudnow and many cousins. Janet was predeceased by her parents, Sam and Ann Shnoor. Janet will be greatly missed by her devoted sister and nieces who were her closest and dearest friends. Janet was born in Dauphin, Man. and moved with her family to Winnipeg in 1950. She chose to spend her life helping people and so earned a degree in Social Work at the University of Manitoba in 1961 and began work in her career at the Childrens Aid Society of Winnipeg and the Winnipeg Child and Family Services. Mom was the most special, dearest and treasured person in the world. No words could ever do justice to describe the beautiful person that she was and will always be. Although she is no longer here with us, her loving memory and beautiful spirit will always live on in our hearts. Mom was our beloved, sweet and treasured angel. To us she was a Saintly person. She was always there for us in every way possible. We feel extremely blessed and very privileged and honoured to have had her for our Mom and we couldnt be prouder of who she was and how she lived and loved life. We have so many wonderful and beautiful memories of a lifetime with Mom. We will miss her smile, her voice, her warmth, her arms around us, her support and guidance that filled us full of love and comfort. We will miss all the little things in life that we shared together, her waves and kisses good-bye, her delicious cooking and her special touch of love. Mom was our world, she was the best mother in the world and she was our dearest and closest friend. May God love, keep and bless you Mom, up in heaven as we all have had the privilege to do here with you on earth. We love you Mom, from the bottom of our hearts, with our whole heart and soul, more than you will ever know and we will miss you dearly. Heartfelt thanks are extended to Dr. H. Hyhof and Betty (staff), Dr. L.K. Cheung, Dr. G. Schroeder and Manitoba Cancer Treatment staff, Dr. Lezaek and Misericordia Oncology staff, Dr. D. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was mine and my sister Jeanne Longo and Debbie Longo's Social Worker, when we were adopted on June 1981, where we signed our adoption papers. She was a caring woman that I remember. - Posted by: Cameron Longo (Former foster child ward) on: Feb 15, 2022
