Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDORA KIRKNESS 1913 - 1999 Peacefully on Friday, September 24, 1999 with her family at her side, Mrs. Dora Kirkness, widow of the late William Kirkness, passed away at the Selkirk General Hospital. Dora was born on June 6, 1913 in Gonor, Manitoba and lived in Kirkness since her marriage to William. She was predeceased by her husband in 1989 and daughter Beatrice in 1998; also brothers, Peter, John, William and Victor and her sister Mabel. She leaves to mourn in her passing, two daughters, Gladys (Joey) of Selkirk and Cathy of Winnipeg; one son Allen (Laurie) grandchildren, Scott and Kel-leigh of Regina; three sisters, Lucy Polenski, Mary Lupul and Jean Gluck, all of Selkirk, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was known to many as Auntie Dora. Dora was a member of the Lockport Community Church. Mom enjoyed visiting with family and friends. In her earlier years, she enjoyed gardening and attending bingo. Prayers will be said on Monday, September 27 at 7:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 at Navin Road. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 28 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lockport Community Church, corner of Henderson Hwy. and Hwy. #44 with the burial in Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Pastor M. Neufeld officiating. Donations may be made in Doras memory to the Lockport Community Church, Box 8, Group 325, RR 3, Selkirk, Manitoba. Safe in the arms of Jesus. GREEN ACRES FUNERAL CHAPEL 222-3241
