He had a great sense of humour and was always willing to help others. Allan was born October 28, 1937 in Vita, Manitoba. He grew up in Roseau River, MB. After graduating Allan successfully completed a course in Welding. Upon retiring at the age of 58 from the welding trade, he returned to his home town in Roseau River, MB. to pursue other interests. Allan very much enjoyed spending time in his workshop which gave him great pride in his many projects. Our sincere thanks are extended to Dr. Boyd, Dr. Wong, Dr. Daeninck and the many family, friends and co-workers who offered their support and prayers. We hold you in our prayers and you will be missed and always remembered as a loving husband, wonderful father, caring grandfather and devoted brother. Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday September 29, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel 1858 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. When I Must Leave You When I must leave you for a little while Please do not grieve and shed wild tears and hug your sorrow to you through the years, But start out bravely with a gallant smile; And for my sake and in my name Live on and do all things the same, Feed not your loneliness on empty days, But fill each waking hour in useful ways, Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near; And never, never be afraid to die, For I am waiting for you in the sky!
