GEORGE ROWAN It is with great sadness we announce the passing of George, peacefully in his sleep on Friday, September 24, 1999. George was born in Norquay, SK on December 17, 1931 but has resided and worked in Winnipeg since 1946, the last 42 years with Alfalfa Products Ltd. Remaining to forever cherish Georges memory are his wife Maire; son Kurt (Wanda) daughters Barb (Dan), Gail, Colleen, Valerie (Brad) grandchildren, Becky, Amber, Nathan, Amanda, Wade, Dillon, Ainsley; great-grandchildren, Chris, Alex, Brandon, Melody and Frank; his mother Ida; brothers, Charles, John, Lloyd, Tom, Gordon and their families; many nieces and nephews, Uncles Albert and Joe and their families. George was predeceased by his sons Guy and Larry, son-in-law David, father Thomas, sister Martha, brothers Ernie and Marin, in-laws George and Maggie Trenaman, and many Aunts and Uncles. On Tuesday, September 28 at 11:00 a.m., Georges Funeral Service will be held in the Charleswood United Church, 4820 Roblin Blvd., with the Rev. Michael Wilson officiating, with the service ending at the church. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in Georges memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
