LORI DAWN TRAFIAK (nee McCASKILL) In the arms of her loving husband and brother, and surrounded by her family, Lori Trafiak peacefully went to be with Jesus. After a courageous thirteen and a half year battle with cancer, in which she had many victories, Lori finally succumbed to her illness. Lori is survived by her loving husband Randy; her loving parents Don and Jane; brother Gary (Sherry) her father and mother-in-law Nick and Stella and sister-in-law Sharon (Greg). Lori grew up in North Kildonan, attending school, playing sports and making many friends. After her graduation, she married Randy and began her career as a pharmacy technician enjoying her life and her job very much. Lori loved gardening, crafts, snowmobiling and travelling. Her cat Elroy was very special to her. Despite her illness, Lori was always cheerful and concerned about the well being of her family and friends. The family wishes to thank Dr. Brandes and all the doctors and nurses who cared for Lori over the years. Thanks also to her many friends for all their support. In accordance to Loris wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 28 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Pastor Bob Shepansky officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 100 Olivia Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 9Z9.
