ANNE NANA HOLOWEC (nee FEDAK) Peacefully and with dignity on September 26, 1999 at Grace Hospital our dear Mom, Nana, sister, and aunt entered eternal rest at age 80. Ann was predeceased by her husband Mike (Blackie) sisters, Mary Kuzyk, Olga Skromeda, Nellie Walker, Sophie Faso and her brother Andrew Fedak. Anne is survived by her son Bill, daughter Brenda (Ron) grandchildren, Michael, Ainsley (Daryl), Erin, Heather, Ross and great-grandson Tyler. Also surviving her are her sisters, Stella Reid, Irene Fedak, brother Mike (Vera) Fedak and sister-in-law Jean (Andy) Fedak as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Anne grew up, married and lived in the Brooklands area most of her life and resided in the St. James area for the past 15 years. Prior to and after Blackies death Anne worked for Whitehall Laundry, Bond & Ronald and Motor Coach before pursuing a nursing career. She worked at Childrens Hospital until her retirement. Anne lived a full and active life. She left her family and friends with many memories. Her greatest legacy will be her grandchildren whom she loved and lived for. It was a pleasure to watch their unique bond of love and admiration grow over the years. As a pack or individually Nana and her kids ran like a well oiled machine. Nana logged hundreds of miles over the years attending plays, recitals, band concerts and sporting events to cheer her kids on. Along the way Nana accumulated hundreds of pseudo grand kids and was well known at schools in the St. James and Charleswood areas. Everyone loved Nana. In keeping with Moms wishes, cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will be held. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. O. Domke, Emergency and 5th floor staff at Grace Hospital for their kindness, consideration and excellent care. With their help we ere able to fulfill Annes wish to leave with respect and dignity. Should friends so desire donations may be made to either Childrens Hospital, Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Kidney Foundation, or the Grace Hospital. GOD BE WITH YOU TILL WE MEET AGAIN
