Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBARBARA ELIZABETH McLEAN WOODHALL Peacefully on Wednesday, September 29, 1999 at the Central Park Lodge, Barbara Woodhall passed away at the age of 94 years. Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. Woodhall; her brother Tom and his wife Anne; and by nephew Andrew Woodhall. She is survived by nieces, Sue Kutzak (Bob) and Kimberley Woodhall, Joy Woodhall (widow of Andrew) great nieces, Anne, Tanya, Teshia, Irene Kutzak; and great nephew David Kutzak; and cousins in Ontario and California; and close friends Gary and Margo Patton, Idell and Bert Brady. Barbara was born in Georgetown, Ont., November 12, 1904. At a young age she came with her parents to Manitoba and lived in Winnipeg for the greater part of her life. She attended Machray School and St. Johns Tech. After obtaining her teaching certificate Barbara joined the staff of the Winnipeg Public School and taught for over 40 years, first in Champlain, then Ralph Brown and finally in Gladstone schools. Barbara was always a co-operative and conscientious teacher and staff person, sometimes acting as school treasurer and accompanying teachers and choirs to the Winnipeg Music festivals. She was a member of McDougal Methodist Church, then of St. Johns United Church where she was active in womens groups and was superintendent of the Primary Sunday School. Latterly she was a member of Riverview United Church. Barbara was a member of the Knox Supper Club for Business Young Women, and she enjoyed activities with the Knox Badminton Club. She travelled extensively to Ontario and to the New England States, especially enjoying trips with her good friend Isobel Charlton. She was a member of the Retired Womens Teachers Association for many years. Barbara will be remembered very kindly by a host of friends, especially by colleagues in the teaching profession. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 2 at 2:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 232 Kennedy Street with Reverend Russel Wardell officiating.
