DAVID JOSEPH KOWALYK, JR. Tragically, on Tuesday, September 28, 1999, David Joseph Kowalyk, Jr., age 40 years passed away. David was born in Sault Ste. Marie, ON, March 19, 1959. He will be sadly missed by his sons, Alex and Eric Kowalyk; father David Kowalyk, Sr.; stepmother Nora Kowalyk; brother Paul Kowalyk (Shari), sister Carol Conway (Kevin) nieces and nephews, Amanda, Matthew and Melissa Conway; paternal grandmother, Mary Kowalyk, uncle Peter Kowalyk and wife Sandra; as well as many aunts, uncles and friends. David was predeceased by his mother Willa Kowalyk in 1979; grandfather Alex Kowalyk; grandmother Stella Hanchuk and grandfather Mike Hanchuk. David loved life, and especially his children. He was always the one to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He enjoyed and loved the sport of hockey. David left a mark on the lives of all the people that he touched and they will miss him dearly. Flowers gratefully declined. A trust fund for Davids children has been set up at the Bank of Montreal, 1271 Jefferson Ave., Winnipeg, R2P 1S7, Attention: Lawrence Lobo, Financial Services Manager. Viewing for family and friends will be on Friday, October 1 between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Ave. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 2 at 11:00 a.m. also at Cropo Funeral Chapel.
