DORIS (DOTTIE) FIKKAN On September 7, 1999 Dottie passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Monroe, Louisiana on February 26, 1916. Dottie and her husband Philip relocated to Sequim, Washington, from Winnipeg, where she was active in many civic endeavors including American Womens Club, St. Charles Golf Club and Rotary Inner Wheel where she served as president. Dotties hobbies were travelling, fishing, golfing and doting on her grandchildren. Her spirit of giving and unselfishness will always remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be forever cherished by her husband of 48 years, Philip; sons Philip of Cashmere, Wa, and John of Seattle, Wa; daughters Carol Blackwell of Calgary and Kristen Gatta of Winnipeg; brother Charles Dowdey; sister Alma Landrum; and eight grandchildren. A private family service was held September 9, 1999 in Sequim, Washington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Clallum County, PO Box 2014, Port Angeles, Wa.. 98362, or to a charity of ones choice. They are not lost who find the light of sun and stars and God.
