JAMES ERNEST KNIGHT James Ernest Knight of Victoria, B.C. passed away suddenly on September 25, 1999 while in Mexico. Born May 14, 1925, in Durban, MB. He was predeceased by his wife Merleen; brothers, Ed (Marge), George and sister Lil (Fred) Tuckett. Survived by his loving daughters, Darlyne (Don) Hawkins of Victoria, Sharron Knight of Calgary and Jamie Knight of Victoria; granddaughters, Denise and Dayna Hawkins of Calgary. Also survived by his brother David (Betty) sister Ruth (Alan) Douglas and Helen Knight. His daughters are proud of his career with the Canadian Army as he fought for peace in many foreign countries. After his retirement, he made frequent road trips to Mexico where he made lasting friends in several towns. During these past few years he was concerned about the poor status of peace in the world and enjoyed discussing the daily world news events with family and friends. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him. No service at Jims request.
