SHIRLEY ALINE (LYNN) REMPEL (nee NAULT) November 16, 1936 September 28, 1999 Peacefully, after a lengthy battle with cancer, with her family by her side, on Tuesday, September 28, 1999 at the Grace General Hospital, Lynn, age 62 years, beloved wife of George of Winnipeg. Mom was born in St. Pierre Jolys, where she was raised by her parents, Etienne and Victoria Nault, who both predeceased her. Her favourite times were Sunday dinners with her family at their home in Charleswood. She loved music, playing her keyboard in her spare time and outings with Dad. Mom was one of Gods very special angels who lived a selfless life, always giving all she could to her family and friends. Besides her loving husband George of 42 years of marriage, remaining to forever cherish moms memory are her three daughters, Marlene Jewer and her husband Tom; Sharon Okopski and Elaine (Laney) Lilley and her husband Darren; granddaughters, Chrystal Grandpre and Victoria Okopski; one sister Alice Lester and her husband Tom; six brothers, Real, Harvey and wife Brenda, George, Fernand, Jerry and wife Vicki, Gilles and wife Barbara; special friends, Eva Wilson, Barbara Giravalos, Rhea Brooks and Evelyn Epp, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Lynns funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 2 at 10:30 a.m. in the Deer Lodge United Church, 2093 Portage Avenue at Belvidere Street. A private family interment will follow at a later time and date. Our family would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to Drs., Brian Rumbolt (her buddy) and Pat Harris, as well as to the staff at the Grace General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made in Lynns memory to the Canadian Cancer Society (Manitoba Division), 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 2B7. FOR MOM, I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU I said a Prayer for you today, And knew God must have heard. I felt the answer in my heart, Although he spoke no words. I didnt ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldnt mind. I asked him to send treasures, Of a far more lasting kind. I asked that hed be near you, In all things great and small. But, it was for His loving care, I prayed for most of all. Lynns family has entrusted her arrangements to the care of: WOJCIKS FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM 897-4665
