ANTONIO DIMARCO After a long battle with cancer, on Wednesday September 29, 1999 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Antonio Dimarco passed away with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife Antonietta and daughter Daniela; his brothers Giuseppe Dimarco (Maria) Guerino Dimarco (Lina) sister Santa Tangredi from Italy; sister-in-law Anna (Nino) Annadomenica (Gabriele) Adele (Vincenzo) and Dina; one cousin Leno Cerqueti (Romanina) and his family; and numerous nieces and nephews from Canada and Italy. He was predeceased by his parents Sophia and Giovanni Dimarco; his sister Antoinetta De Luca; brothers-in-law Marino, Piarino, and Giuseppe. Antonio was born on April 13, 1935 in Atri, Italy. He moved to Belgium in October 1955. Antonio and Antonietta met in 1966 and have been married for 32 years. Antonio worked for two years in a glove factory once in Canada and later for three years for CN Rail; he then worked for 33 years for CP Rail Western Shop as a carmen helper, where he retired from in 1996. He was a member of St. Johns Ambulance for 20 years. Antonio enjoyed travelling and spending time with his family and friends. Prayers will be said on Sunday, October 3 at 5:30 p.m. in Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 4, at 10:00 a.m. also in the Church, with Reverend Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding at the Eucharist. Entombment will follow in the Queen of Heaven Mausoleum. The family would like to express a special thank-you to all the friends and relatives who came to visit Antonio while he was in the hospital. Also to all the doctors and nurses in the third floor Palliative Care at the St. Boniface Hospital.
