VALENTINE (VAL) HARRIS (HONCHARUK) Valentine Harris, aged 65 years, beloved wife of William (Bill) Harris, passed away after a lengthy illness at the Health Sciences Centre. Besides her husband Bill, Val is survived by her daughter Cathy; and sons, William (Kathy), Matt (Lynne), Terry (Barb), Vincent (Joanne), Pat (Madeline), and Kelly; sister Helen Walko. She also leaves to mourn 11 grandchildren, one great-grandson. Val grew up in the north end of Winnipeg and went to King Edward School. She worked in the Holy Family Nursing Home for 15 years. Val loved to read, do crosswords and play bingo. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her. The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff at the Health Sciences Centre GH4, GH5 and M.I.C.U. for their care and love of our wife and mother. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue. Burial of her cremains will take place at a later date.
