WALTER HOGUE October 1, 1935 - September 30, 1999 Its with heavy hearts and a great sense of loss that we inform you of the passing of our beloved Walter Donat Joseph Hogue. He always said In ones life you have many roads to travel. Walter has travelled down most of them. On September 30, 1999 with wife Bernice, sons, Calvin and Charlie, daughters, Heather and Kathy by his side, he went to be with the Lord. Walter was born at Fortier, MB on October 1, 1935, and was raised at the Hogue Farm in Belcourt, MB, where he learned to drive. He became a long distance truck driver, his career for over 40 years until his illness. Walter met and married Bernice Brown, daughter of the late Ella and Fred Brown of Marquette, MB. Walter was the youngest son of Harry and Augustine Hogue who greeted him at Heavens gate with brother Leon, sister Claire and sister-in-law Dorayne. He leaves behind brothers, Fred, Orille, Edmond and sisters, Jeanette, Claudette, Florence, Cecile and baby Leona; in-laws, Carol, Bill, Dick and mates. Walter and Bernices marriage of 42 years gave them eight grandchildren, Shaina, Cody, Melayna, Kaitlin, Kevin, Belle, Crystal and Ron which gave Dad great joy. Dad will also be missed by his many friends, especially Paul McCaughan and Al Sadowski. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the Omega Funeral Home on Monday, October 4 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Father Wayne Morrissey officiating. The service will terminate at the Chapel. In honour of Walter, memorial donations may be made to the Childrens Wish Foundation of Canada, Box 1106, Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, R1N 3C5 or a charity of ones choice.
