MARY TRESSA VIOLET PENNER 1917 - 1999 On Wednesday, September 29, 1999 at Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg, Mary Tressa Violet Penner, age 82 years, of Winkler, formerly of Flin Flon, MB went to her eternal rest. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Penner on July 8, 1989; one sister Edna in 1991; two brothers, Albert Upton in 1976 and Wilf Upton in 1997. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter Gaye and husband Ivan Pokotylo of Hartney, MB; son Robert and wife Katherine Penner of Flin Flon, MB; five grandchildren, Garry, Sharon and Maria Pokotylo, Kevin and Susanna Penner; two brothers, Arnold Upton of Toronto, Elmer Upton of Colberg, ON; one sister Audrey St. John of Montreal; one sister-in-law Doris (Wilf) Upton of Vancouver, BC; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 2 at the St. Pauls United Church in Morden, MB at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kerry Craig officiating. Interment will follow at the Winkler Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6 or a charity of choice.
