RICHARD ROBERTS It is with deep sorrow that the family announces Richards sudden passing on Tuesday, September 28, 1999 at St. Boniface General Hospital. Richard will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Mary; sons, Richard and wife Deb, and Brian; sisters, Violet Salekin and Mary Roberts, and brother Harold, as well as many other family and friends. Born August 27, 1930 in West Kildonan, MB, Richard was raised in Lake Francis where he learned to love hunting, a lifelong passion. He moved to Winnipeg in 1952 and was married to Mary three years later. Together they raised two sons with whom they shared a fondness for the outdoors. They recently celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary. Richard worked for Canada Metals for over 30 years and retired in 1990. Always one to be busy, his retirement was filled with helping out in his sons business, travelling with his wife Mary and working around the house. Funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday, October 4 in Grey Street United Church, 651 Grey St. at Sandhurst Ave., the Rev. Gordon Fulford officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will take place one half hour prior to the service in church. The pallbearers will be sons, Richard and Brian, nephews Larry Roberts, Gary Salekin and Harold Roberts, and cousin Gary Meder. Kerrs Funeral Chapel is in care of arrangements; phone 943-6688.
