COEUR Marcel, longtime resident of the Roblin Hotel on Adelaide Street in Winnipeg, passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 1999. Marcel was born on October 26, 1921 and spent his early years in Quebec. After coming to Winnipeg, he worked for General Builders and Maitre Construction. He retired in 1986 after a lengthy career with the Canadian Wheat Board. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion (active service in Canada in 1942) and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aries No. 23. Ti-Jack will be remembered as one of Tommys Boys at the Roblin and a member of the group who made regular summer forays to the Old Horseshoe Pits on Old Springfield Road. A graveside service for Marcel will be held at the St. Vital Cemetery on River Road in Winnipeg on Tuesday, October 5 at 10:30 a.m. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements, 775-2220.
