DIANA (DENA) TURBOVSKY (MALINSKY)
Date of Passing: Sep 14, 1999
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDIANA (DENA) TURBOVSKY (nee MALINSKY) Peacefully on September 14, 1999, Dena passed away after a long illness with Alzheimer disease. She was predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Minnie Malinsky and by her husband Nat in 1983. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Nayda (Ward) Northage and their children, Jason and Jarrod (Tonya) son Sheldon and his children, Melanie and Sheri (Donald) sister Kay (Irvin) Sera; sisters-in-law, Murel Craven, Dolly Turner, Phyllis Turner and Muriel Turner; brother-in-law George Turner and by many nieces and nephews. Dena had 38 happy years with Nat. Together they travelled to Israel, Hawaii and finally decided to spend their winters in Arizona and their summers at Winnipeg Beach where they spent many happy days with their grandchildren. Denas greatest joy was when her family came for Friday night suppers where we all went for her famous hot barley soup. We knew there was always a great meal waiting for us. After Nat passed away she continued travelling to Arizona where she had many good friends who were always there for her. Her hobbies included needle point in her earlier years, Mah Jong and most of all playing Bingo. She will always be lovingly remembered, always in our hearts and thoughts. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Middle Church Home especially Anne on B1 who had a special way with our mother, Iris and Irene for always having a laugh with our mother and for treating her with the dignity she deserved. We cannot thank you enough. Funeral services were held on September 15 at the Bnay Abraham Cemetery. Donations would be greatly appreciated to the Alzheimer Society or to a charity of your choice.
