Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJANE STRIKE August 26, 1922 - October 1, 1999 It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our dear Mom and loving wife Jane. Cherished in memory she leaves her beloved husband Joseph and children, Patricia Lowing, Joseph (Carol), Christopher (Melissa) from AB; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Donna), Glenn, Timothy (Suzanne) from BC, Corissa (Rob) from NS, Madison and Emily from AB; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Joseph and Katya; her sister Olga Hladki. Jane was predeceased by her parents Mary and Dmytro Kolodie; her brother Michael; and two grandchildren, Brian and Corine. Jane thrived on her familys happiness. Her greatest passion was their cottage where she loved gardening and weekends with family. Joe and Jane spent many dedicated years working side by side in their grocery store (Strikes) ensuring their customers and retailers excellent service. Jane thrived on the many friends and acquaintances she made over the years. Family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff on the 5th floor at Seven Oaks Hospital, and the Maples Care Home for the excellent care and well being they devoted to Jane. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 4 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 5 also at the chapel. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Evan Uzwyshyn, Dave Schledewitz, Horst Hirschfeld, Jeffrey Dosanjh, Glenn Lowing and Tim Lowing.
