Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS ROBERTSON Peacefully on October 1, 1999 at the Grace Hospital, Tommy, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather and friend, passed away in his 91st year. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 63 years, Marion; his son Jim (Kris) and their children, Ryan and Jill; daughter Patricia (Bruce) Hogg and their children, Bryan and Karen (Bruce) Rannard; daughter Noreen (Moe) Ponton and their children, Jodie and Jeffrey; son Dan (Virginia) and their children, Stephen, Philip, Catherine and Carolyn; great-grandchildren, Morgan Ponton and Drey and Breanna Rannard; sister-in-law Katherine Weiermann; brother-in-law Jim (Ethel) Wilkes; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his sisters, Maggie, Minnie, Jean and Betty and brothers, Lorne, Will and Alex. Tommy was born on the home farm at Marquette, Manitoba on January 14, 1909, the youngest child of James and Maria. He farmed and lived in the community until 1988 at which time Tommy and Marion moved to Winnipeg. The love of his life was his family. His other priorities included friends, church and community, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. A celebration of Tommys life will be held on Wednesday, October 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Meadow Lea Hall (4 miles north of Marquette at the junction of Hwy. 227 and Hwy. 248) with Rev. Colin Peterson officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers,donations may be made to the Meadow Lea United Church, Marquette, Man., R0H 0V0, or to the Kirkfield Park United Church, 472 Kirkfield St., Winnipeg, Man., R3K 1E6.
