Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLESLIE FERRIER KING 1910 - 1999 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie King at the age of 89 years on Sunday, October 3, 1999, at the Deer Lodge Centre. He will be sadly missed by son Brian (Agnes) sister Kay from California; cousins, Garth (Marnie), Dave (Betty), Jan (Allen) from Vancouver, also many nieces, nephews and friends. He was born and raised in Boissevain, Manitoba, was a veteran from Second World War, served in the navy. After the war, was employed by Winnipeg Transit and retired in 1974. He was a long time member of the St. James Legion. We want to make a special thank you to the staff of T3 at Deer Lodge Centre for taking such good care of Leslie. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 7 at 10:00 a.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley Street. Interment will follow at Waverley Memorial Gardens. Honorary Pallbearers will be Garth King and Dave King. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Leslies memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7, or to the Alzheimer Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2.
