EVELYN KOUK Peacefully, on October 3, 1999 at the Concordia Hospital, our mother Evelyn passed away at the age of 91 years. Mother was born in Woodstock, Ont., January 4, 1908. She married our father William Kouk in May 1927, who predeceased her in 1974. Left to mourn are her children, Patricia (Charlie) Lesperance, Joyce Barron, Richard (Ellie), Bob (Rose), Fred (Veronica), Jim (Margaret) and Thomas (Natasha) 23 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Gylen; one grandson; two great-grandsons; her parents; sisters and brothers. She was a very caring and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a hard working homemaker, who was feisty, honest and a good friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She especially enjoyed the happy times with her family and special friends and neighbours. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Parish, 300 Donalda Ave., with Rev. Fr. John Juhl, officiating. Cremation has taken place as per Evelyns wishes. The family would like to thank the many care workers and nurses who looked after her at home. Also the Doctors, Nurses and staff at Concordia Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Evelyns memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8, or the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7.
