RALPH WALTER PFRIMMER On Sunday, October 3, 1999 at the Portage General Hospital in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, Ralph Walter Pfrimmer aged 75 years, beloved husband of the late Lydia Pfrimmer of Sperling, Manitoba. Ralph is survived by one son Ralph Gerald Pfrimmer of Sperling, Manitoba and by one daughter Barbara Elizabeth (Walter) Petkau; grandchildren Phillip and Vanessa Petkau all of Morden, Manitoba. He was predeceased by his wife Lydia in 1994, by one granddaughter Erin Petkau in 1994, by one brother Louis Pfrimmer, brother-in-law Alex and his wife Helen Smith, by sister-in-law Lillie Morwick and by brother-in-law Bill. Ralph grew up in Myrtle, Manitoba moving to Sperling in 1938 to farm with his father. In 1950 Ralph married Lydia Schmidt and they farmed and operated a ranch near Sperling where they raised their family. He was very handy and enjoyed welding, building and repairing. He was always known as a helpful neighbour and friend, blowing snow, doing chores and lending a hand at harvest time was never considered work to Ralph, he was always willing to help out. He was a faithful listener and supporter of the Lutheran Hour Radio Show and enjoyed listening to the gospel. Funeral Service will be held from St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Brunkild, Manitoba on Thursday, October 7 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Fraser Coltman officiating. Interment will take place in the Brunkild Cemetery in the family plot. Viewing will be held from Doyles Funeral Chapel in Carman, Manitoba on Wednesday, October 6 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C OS6 or to a charity of ones choice.
