BARBARA TETRAULT (nee LISTIAK) With great sadness the family of Barbara Tetrault wishes to announce her passing on Monday, October 4, 1999 at age 50. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Laurent; her daughter Danielle; her son Marcel; her mother Helene Orlaw (nee Dojack) and her brother Alan Listiak (Martha Engebretson). Barbara was predeceased by her father Daniel Listiak in 1954. She also leaves to cherish her memory her mother-in-law Marie Fortier; two brothers-in-law, Real (Leona) Tetrault and Albert (Debbie) Fortier; two sisters-in-law, Paulette (Rick) Pappel, Louise (Bruce) Pihulak and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces. Barbara was born on February 8, 1949 in Minneapolis. The family moved to Winnipeg in 1959. She attended St. James Collegiate and graduated from the Faculty of Home Economics in 1970. She completed her teacher certification and taught school in St. Anne, MB, Spring Valley School in St. James and until her illness, at Stanley Knowles School in Winnipeg. Barbara was a loving wife and a devoted mother to her children. She was a dedicated teacher and a proud member of the Manitoba Association of Home Economists and of the Manitoba Home Economists Teachers Association. Her laughter, her wit, her sense of organization and her many creative talents will be missed. For their compassionate care, the family would like to thank Dr. T. Shore, Dr. G. Schroeder, the chemo nurses at Health Sciences Centre and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Riverview Hospital. Thanks is also extended to the staffs of Stanley Knowles School, College Louis Riel, the Fort Richmond Y-neighbours and to the many people who visited Barbara to give comfort and prayers - especially to her devoted friend Heather who was so important to Barbara during her illness. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, October 8 at 10:30 a.m. in Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Dr. with Rev. Fr. Carl Tarnopolski, celebrant. A private family internment will follow at a later date. Donations in Barbaras memory may be made to the Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 9Z9.
