Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORMA (NONIE) IRENE HULL (nee CAIRNS) It is with great sadness, we the family, announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on October 4, 1999, at the Victoria General Hospital. Mom was born September 9, 1922 in Pipestone, Man., where she lived until entering University in Winnipeg, obtaining her Home Economics Degree. Mom married John Kenneth Hull on February 15, 1941 in Young Street United Church. After their marriage, they travelled extensively throughout Canada, as Dad was with the Navy. Home was in Regina, then finally Edmonton, until our Fathers death in November, 1958. Wanting to be close with her family, we relocated back to Winnipeg in 1962. Before being plagued with many health problems, Mom enjoyed some travelling; to the Far East and her favorite spot - Hawaii. Mom was generous and loving to the three generations she watched grow up. Her four great-grandchildren brought her much joy. Mom is survived by her daughter, Lindsay (Jack) Steel, son J. Brian Hull, grandson, Scott (Tawny) Hamblin and children Jaryd and Janessa, granddaughters Candace (Richard) Nykiforuk and children Stephanie and Meagan, and Kimberley Hamblin (Paul). Also surviving is her sister Beverly (Leo) Clermont and families in Brandon and Winnipeg. Predeceased by her husband, parents Dr. and Mrs. J. W. Cairns, and in-laws of Sarah and Isaac Hull and sisters-in-laws Beatrice, Verona and Phyllis. Special thanks to all her many wonderful Home Care Workers, especially Pat, who was always there for her; Betty-Anne, who kindly volunteered to do her Friday shopping; to Dr. R. W. Smith, whom Mom trusted and admired. Also thank you to Dr. V. Taraska and the caring staff on Unit 3. Friends may call at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway for viewing, on Thursday, October 7, between 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. According to Moms wishes, a graveside service will be held on Friday, October 8, at 2:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. Flowers are gratefully declined, however donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8 or to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6. Moms struggle has ended, and she is finally at peace with the rest of her family. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
