ROSS DRAYSON Ross, beloved husband of Mildred for 49 years, passed away suddenly at St. Boniface Hospital on Monday, October 4, 1999. Left to cherish his memory besides his wife are loving daughters, Lee and Robyn (Garth) grandchildren, Brittany, Quinn Ross and Courtney; and one brother, Lloyd (Louise) Drayson. Born and educated in Neepawa, Manitoba, Dad and Mom moved to Winnipeg where Dad was employed by Air Canada for over 34 years. Later they moved to the acreage in the country which gave him such great contentment and happiness. Dad had a very fulfilling life - marrying his high school sweetheart, travelling the world, and then raising his two daughters. Dad always made his girls No. 1 in his life - he would do anything for us. He taught us the meaning of life and to live it to the fullest. We enjoyed many years at Nutimik Lake and travelling the world during school breaks, being raised on the farm, riding horses and swimming in the pool - he kept his pool open every summer just for the grandchildren to come and swim. He would do anything for his grandkids. Dad had many good friends which he enjoyed spending cherished time with over the years, especially Gerry and Lorraine Cairns and Dean Finlay. Cremation has taken place and at his request a private family burial will take place in Neepawa at a later date. A service in celebration of his life will take place on Thursday, October 7 at 1:30 p.m. at Regents Park United Church, 613 St. Marys Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a childrens charity of your choice.
