ANNE BROOKS ( HARTLEY) It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Anne Brooks, on Tuesday, October 5, 1999, age 82, at the Victoria General Hospital. Anne will be lovingly remembered by her children, Lloyd (Betty), Ron, Maureen (Don) and Diane (Mel) her 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and her sister Helen Gies. She was predeceased by her first husband, Lawrence Hartley and her second husband, Leslie Brooks; her son Norman; her five brothers and two of her sisters. Born in Altona on May 22, 1917, Anne spent many years in Fort Garry. She enjoyed 21 years living in sunny Long Beach, California before returning to Fort Garry in 1985. She was active with the Fort Garry Legion Ladies Auxiliary for many years and continued to enjoy her bingo games. She was also a member of the Adamar Seniors Club. A memorial service will take place on Friday, October 8 at 10:00 a.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley Street. LEATHERDALE GARDINER 1501 Waverley Street 949-4860
