ERHARDT (JERRY) FLAIG 1935 - 1999 Peacefully, at home, Erhardt passed away after a valiant fight with cancer. He will be dearly missed by his wife Herdith and his 13 girls; daughters, Vera, Karla (Doug) Struthers, Monica (Jeff) Middlestead, and Rita (Reinhold) Kramer; granddaughters, Jennifer, Kristen, Katie Struthers, Madeline, Stephanie, Michelle Kramer, Emily, Sarah and Baby Abby Middlestead. Also surviving are his mother Elsa; brother Heinz; sisters, Rose (Ted Hooper), Charlotte (Erich) Brenner, as well as nieces and nephews. After 40 years in the sign business, he retired in 1994 from Belle Fosh Signs to devote more time to his family and his model railroads. Sincere thank you to Dr. Pat Harris and staff, the VON nurses, Shirley and Catherine, and friends and neighbours whose help was appreciated at this difficult time. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home with interment to follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens and reception at Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on the ripened grain. I am the gentle Autumns rain When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry: I am not there I did not die. If desired, donations in his memory may be made to Manitoba Cancer Foundation, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
