FRANZ (FRANK) REHM Peacefully, on Tuesday, October 5, 1999 at the St. Boniface General Hospital, Frank age 69 years, beloved and special friend of Joyce of Sandy Lake and her son Alan and family of Winnipeg, MB. Remaining to forever cherish Franks memory are his daughters, Rennie (Ron) and Frieda Bateman (Neil) sons, Manfred (Debbie) and Frank (Debbie) daughters, Linda Rehm and Irene Cohen (Mark) grandchildren, Erin and Kyler Bateman and Kirstyn and Taylor Rehm; as well as numerous relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Katherina. Frank was born on November 29, 1929 in Karlsdorf, Yugoslavia, moving to Horweiller, Germany in the early 50s. After spending several years in Germany, Frank moved his young family to Canada settling in Winnipeg in 1955. His work was in painting and decorating where he was proud to be considered an excellent tradesman and eventually became more involved as a general contractor. Franks love for building became one of his favourite hobbies, not allowing him to ever really retire. Frank loved gardening and was especially proud of his vegetable garden where he and Joyce spent endless summer hours. He was a passionate fisherman and passed on his love for fishing to his family, especially his two sons, Manfred and Frank, where the three of them spent countless hours on the water. He loved sports and was especially fond of soccer and hockey. Joyce persuaded him to watch baseball (her favourite sport) and he finally admitted he like that too. Frank had a very colourful personality and lived his life to the fullest. Another one of his favourite past times was going for long early morning walks with his trio of pets, Tora, Pudgy and Mitzi. On Friday, October 8 at 1:00 p.m., Franks Funeral Service will be held in the Deer Lodge United Church, 2093 Portage Ave. at Belvidere Street. Our family would like to express sincere and special thanks to Dr. Henry and staff at the St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3. NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN Franks arrangements have been entrusted to the care of: WOJCIKS FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM 897-4665
