Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEGGY BRYDON (nee GILMOUR) With her family at her side, Peggy Brydon died peacefully after a short illness at the Portage & District General Hospital, Tuesday morning, October 5, 1999. Peggy, formerly of Austin, was predeceased by her parents, Hamilton and Irene Gilmour; her oldest brother Howard. Her memory will be cherished by her husband Willie, daughter Donna (Jim) McKenzie, granddaughter Chelsea, grandson Scott, all of Portage. Also left by her passing are her brother Bob (Shirley) Gilmour of Winnipeg; sister Opal (Floyd) Miller of Fortier, MB; sister-in-law Gail Gilmour of Pinawa, MB; and numerous nieces and nephews. A time of visitation will be held Thursday evening, October 7 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will take place Friday evening, October 8 at 5:30 p.m., from Trinity United Church, with Rev. Ross Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Garden. Family and friends in remembrance of Peggy many make donations to the Canadian Foundation for Ileitis and Colitis, Winnipeg Chapter CFIC, P.O. Box 4006, Station B, Winnipeg, MB R2W 5H9, or to the Palliative Care Unit of the Portage and District Hospital Foundation, 524 5th St. S., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3A8. A tree will be planted in memory of Peggy by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel who are entrusted with the arrangements.
