Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIDA CLARA BENNETT (nee BAILEY) Peacefully, on October 7, 1999, after a short illness, Ida Bennett, in her 92nd year, beloved mother of Bob, his wife Brenda and their son Timothy; daughter Lois Senicki, her husband Eugene and their children, Mark and Laura, all of Calgary. Ida is survived by numerous nieces and nephews in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Montreal and Australia. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard; her brother Arnold and her parents, Elizabeth and Albert Bailey. Ida was deeply devoted to her family and was loved and admired by all whose lives she touched. Ida was blessed with many friendships, both recent and lifelong. She worked in the offices of Eatons from 1926 to 1942. Over her lifetime, Ida was a member of the congregation of St. Philips, St. Patrick and St. Jude, and Holy Trinity Anglican Churches. She was active in the Grand Beach Campers Association for many years and spent her summers at the family cottage. Ida has maintained contact with the Air Canada Retirees Association and was a member of Good Neighbours Senior Centre and the Riverside Social Club. Ida had a great zest for life and lived independently until entering hospital. Thank you to the staff of A7 West at St. Boniface General Hospital for your kindness, sensitivity and attention while Ida was in your care. A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Church, Donald at Graham on Sunday, October 10 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Robin Mather presiding.
