Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH WILLIAM DESJARLAIS It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Joseph W. Desjarlais of Oakpoint at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital in Eriksdale on Tuesday, October 5, 1999 with his wife by his side. Joseph was born June 15, 1926 in Oakpoint. He served overseas during the Second World War, then worked for the army in Churchill for nine years, was employed with the CN, was a Commissionaire and was a carpenter for the Hudson Bay Company in the North for fifteen years retiring in 1986. He is survived by his wife Olga; two sisters, Teen and David Chartrand of Teulon, Mildred Mullins of Powell River, B.C.; sister-in-law Ivy Desjarlais of Miami, Man., numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Antoine and Rose Desjarlais; sisters, Rose and Olga; brothers, Jack, Gerald and Emile. Cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, October 9 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Laurent Roman Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. I. Blanchette, O.M.I. will officiate with interment of cremains to follow in the Notre Dame Cemetery, Oakpoint, Man. Urn bearer will be Melissa Buors. The family wish to express their sincere thanks to the kind staff at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital, Eriksdale, also to the Sisters and Priest of Eriksdale and to all the ones who were there for support. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 100 Olivia St., Wpg. We made our vows together And said "Till death do us part" So when God came and took your hand My whole life fell apart When I look back upon our lives One thing makes me glad That you chose me to share with you, Those precious years we had.
