ISABELLE HOLLIDAY (nee DuBOIS) April 8, 1914 - October 6, 1999 Surrounded by family, peacefully on October 6, 1999 at the Victoria General Hospital, following a lengthy illness. She is survived by daughters, June (Gordon) Bell, Judy (Sam) Holukoff; son Bob; grandsons, Blake and Brock Holukoff, Keith Bell; granddaughter Darlene Bell and sister Blanche (Ray) Barrett. Isabelle goes to meet Herb, her husband of 57 years, who went to prepare a place for her in the Lords Manor in 1995. Isabelle and Herb looked forward to their yearly visits to friends in Desert Hot Springs, California and visits with family in England. A founder of the Southdale Alliance Church, Isabelle was active in the community. In 1948 she also helped found the Glenlee Community Club, the first home of the church in 1951. She remained active in the church until hospitalized last June. A 43 year employee of the T. Eaton Company, Isabelle worked in various departments until the closure of the mail order clearance centre in the mid-1970s. Following a private interment at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, a memorial service to celebrate Isabelles life will be held on Tuesday, October 12 at 1:00 p.m. in the Willow Lake Baptist Church (former location of the Southdale Alliance Church), 45 Willowlake Crescent. The family wishes to thank the entire third floor staff at Victoria Hospital for the tireless effort and care.
