MICHAEL LESWICK After a lengthy battle with Alzheimers, Michael (Mike) Leswick passed away on Thursday, October 7, 1999 at Riverview Health Centre. Family members were at his side. Mike was born on March 18, 1910 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. After attending Aberdeen and St. Johns High School he became a machinist. For approximately 20 years he was the owner of Acme Machine Works. His memory will be deeply cherished by Julia, his wife of 62 years; daughter Helen; son Dennis (Rosalie) his grandsons, Michael (Elizabeth) and David (Karen) his nieces and sisters-in-law. He was predeceased by his sisters, Justine Borsa, Annie Kazaniwsky, Julia Bachynsky, Emily Lasiuk, Nellie McFarlane and his brother Joe. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 9 at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. with a Basilian Father officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Michael and David Leswick, George Hayes, Walter Goshulak, Nicholas Slonosky and Paul Thullner. We would like to thank the supportive staff members at Riverview Health Centre and Seven Oaks Hospital. In lieu of flower, donations in Michaels memory may be made to a charity of ones choice.
