ROY FARQUHAR At peace, with his wife beside him, Roy Farquhar succumbed to his illness at his residence in Seven Sister Falls, MB on October 6, 1999. Roy was born on November 2, 1933 in Boddam, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Roy served his apprenticeship with Heslop, Wilson Granite Works in Scotland. He came to Canada in 1962 and worked for Lons Stone Works in St. Boniface and later for Cold Spring Granite Co. in Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba. After moving to the United States, Roy worked for the Delano Granite Co. and later went into business for himself in the Lake Minnetonka area of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Roy made many friends in his journey through life for he was a fun loving and caring person. Besides his wife Betty, he is survived by brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, especially his favourite niece Jane Oliver and family and nephew Arthur Wood. Cremation has taken place. Cremated remains will be scattered in Scotland at a later date. "Goodnight sweet Prince, May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest."
