HILDA MANNING (nee WALLACE) On Thursday, September 30, 1999, Hilda Manning passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at the Kildonan Personal Care Centre. She was born on August 12, 1906, in Stapleford, England and came to Canada as a young child. Mom was a graduate nurse (1926) from the Childrens Hospital. She enjoyed cooking, knitting and was a three time champion at lawn bowling. She was also a member of St. Georges Anglican Church. Hilda was predeceased by her husband Alfred (Cy) in 1978, daughter Hazel McCardle in 1996, great-granddaughter Randi-Lynn in 1983 and sisters Una Odell, Eve Lumsden and Mary Moore. She is survived by daughter Donna and friend Ada of Gimli, son Glen (Barbara) of Oakbank and son-in-law Albert McCardle of Winnipeg. Also surviving are grandchildren Glenda (Brian) Currie, Randy (Sharon), Kenneth Manning, Bonnie (Max), Kirk (Yvonne) McCardle, great-grandchildren Jessica, Glen, Kathryn Manning, Connor McCardle; sisters-in-law Alice Manning and Rose Manning and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend many thanks to the staff at Kildonan Personal Care Centre for their care and compassion given to Mom during her four year stay there. With special thanks going to Kim and Linda. According to Moms wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service was held on October 5th, at St. James Cemetery, with Rev.
