Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCYRIL JESSE EDWARD PAYE Peacefully on October 5, 1999, at the Riverview Health Center, with his family by his side, Cyril Paye, aged 88, passed away. Cyril is lovingly remembered by Doris, his wife of 59 years; daughters, Barbara and Carol; son-in-law Jim; Jims mother, Marge; grandchildren, Chris (Sonya), Stef and Stacey (Gary) Kyle, Scott and Jordan and his great grandchildren, Kelly, Toni, Amber and Jessica. Cyril will also be sadly missed by his many friends. Cy was born in Borden, England on January 14, 1911, the son of Bert and Edith Paye. Cy came to Canada at an early age. He served with the RCAF as a member of the Wireless Unit during the war. He was later employed with Air Canada as an electrical technician for nearly thirty years, until his retirement in 1973. Cy was a 50 year member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. An avid lover of nature, Cy also was an active "ham" radio operator for most of his adult life. He enjoyed travel and, with his wife, was able to visit many different and interesting parts of the world. Photography was another of Cys interests, especially capturing his love of nature on film. He had a strong and logical mind, and enjoyed the technical aspects of his radio hobby immensely. Cy also placed great value on his interactions with his family and friends. Our family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of both the Grace General Hospital and the Riverview Health Center for the excellent care they provided. Cremation has taken place and in accordance with Cys wishes, there will be no public service. In lieu of flowers, a donation made in Cys memory to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. " VE4IS has now signed off " LEATHERDALE GARDINER 1858 Portage Avenue 949-4872
