Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBELLE MCGUCKIN Peacefully with her family and friends by her side on October 8, 1999 at the Grace General Hospital, Belle McGuckin of Headingley. Belle fought a one year courageous battle with Mesothelioma, an asbestos related cancer. Belle was predeceased by her father Malcolm in June 1999. She was also predeceased by her grandparents, two aunts and five uncles. She will be so sadly missed by her family, her mother Ruby; brother Roy (Verna) McGuckin; and sister Malveen (Tim) St. Vincent; nieces Amber and nephew Tyler; aunts Mabel (Hugh) Mackey and Emily Nesbitt; and her uncle George Scullion, all of Northern Ireland. She is also survived by numerous cousins from Canada, United States, Northern Ireland, Scotland, England, and South Africa. Belle was born September 18, 1955 at the Old Grace Hospital in Winnipeg. Belle lived in Headingley her entire life, and worked in the family business, R.B.M. Gardens as a Market Gardener where many of her customers became good friends. During the off season, her love of travelling (to over 40 countries) gained her many friends all over the world. The family would like to thank Dr. P. Harris, Dr. J. Smart and Trish, all the wonderful staff of the 4th floor and the Salvation Army Chaplains at the Grace General Hospital. Also, a very special thank you to all those who supported Belles fundraising social. Funeral arrangements are pending and a longer notice will follow.
