MARTHE ST. ARNAUD (nee LAUZE) It is with great regret that we announce the peaceful passing of Marthe on October 7, 1999. Marthe was born on April 4, 1917. She leaves to mourn her beloved husband Emile of 50 years on October 8, 1999. She will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Camille St. Arnaud and Corinne (Jean-Louis) Mongeon of Gatineau, Quebec, and her much loved three granddaughters, Danielle, Dominique and Gabrielle Mongeon. Marthe was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Anna Lauze; her sisters, Eloise (Dupuis), Aline (Degagne) and Lucienne (Savard) her brothers, Rosaire, Raphael, Anacelet, Victor and Armand. She is survived by her sisters, Cecile Markevich, Denise Degagne (Eugene) and Rollande Duffy (Tom) her brothers, Fernand (Doris), Lucien (Valerie), Marcel (Gail) and Paul (Linda) sisters-in-law, Susan and Marie-Ange Lauze; also many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law in Quebec along with numerous nieces and nephews. Marthes sense of humour, her love of people and life, her faith and strength were cause for admiration to all who knew and loved her. As a wife, mother and grandmother, her devotion and love will be sadly missed but always remembered. The angels have taken you, Marthe, where now there is no more pain. Prayers will be said on Monday, October 11 at 7:00 p.m. at the Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, October 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Boniface Cathedral with Msgr. Albert Frechette officiating; viewing one-half hour prior to service. Interment to follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery. The family wishes to sincerely thank Dr. Wong, his staff at ACF Medicine as well as all the staff on 5B at St. Boniface Hospital.
