RAYMOND (RAY) BALL

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND (RAY) BALL Peacefully, on October 7, 1999 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Raymond (Ray) Ball passed away at the age of 89 years. Ray was born and raised in Petersfield district where he farmed until 1967. Following this, Ray and his wife moved into Selkirk, to Louise Bay. At that time he worked for the Lord Selkirk School Division as a custodian at the Selkirk Junior High. Ray retired in 1975. In 1988, Dad and Mom moved to the Knights Center. In 1998 Dad then took up residence at the Red River Place in Selkirk. Dad was predeceased by his loving wife of fifty-five years Kay on January 31, 1999. Left to mourn are his children, Pat (Dave) Rebizant, Maureen (Reg) Dixon, special daughter Shirley Ball and his only son James (Chris) Ball. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Richard and Michelle Rebizant, Kim, Jeff and Melanie Dixon, Lenna, Kevin, Daron and Aaron Ball and great-grandson Dorian Dixon. Dad is also survived by one sister Ina Anton of Sarnia, Ontario; special nieces Margaret and her husband Paul Griddle and Susan and her husband Keith Duff. At Dads request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 13 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Fr. Boguslaw Wardzinski officiating. Rays ashes will be interred beside his beloved wife Kay in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Cemetery, Selkirk, MB. The family would like to extend their heartfilled thanks to the nursing staff at the Red River Place and the medical staff at the Selkirk and District Hospital for all their compassion, care and concern. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rays memory to a charity of ones choice. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
