STEPHANIE ROSCOE Peacefully, on October 8, 1999, with her loving husband Alex by her side, Stephanie Roscoe, passed away at the Selkirk General Hospital. Besides her beloved husband Alex, she will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Beverley (Ron) Nedokis of North Vancouver, BC; son Allan of Vancouver; grandson Chris of Whistler, BC; granddaughter Emily of Seattle, Washington; sister Rose Guyda; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Apolonia Ronska; sisters, Mary, Ann, Jean and her twin sister Frances. Stephanie was born in Winnipeg and had a very happy childhood. She attended Holy Ghost School, sang in the church choir and enjoyed speed skating and other sports. Stephanie married Alex Roscoe in 1939 and together they raised their two children. She was an exceptional Mother who made our home a special place. She was interested in classical music and literature. She also enjoyed working in ceramics and playing the piano. Stephanie took pleasure in entertaining family and friends in Lockport and the family cottage at Caddy Lake. Her strong Christian beliefs led Stephanie to be a very generous and caring person who loved sharing with others. When her children were teenagers she decided to enter the workforce, first at the Bay and then at Sears where she became a manager of the credit department. She loved watching the birds and the squirrels, tending her garden and kept busy being a member of the C.W.L. at Notre Dame Church in Selkirk and the Gordon Howard Senior Centre. To those who knew Stephanie, you will know that she felt so blessed and proud that she was able to spend so many years together with her husband in their family home. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 15 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. If friends so wish, donations may be made in Stephanies memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, R3C 0S6. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
