FRANCES IVERSON (nee IVANISKI) After a lengthy illness with Diabetes, Frances Iverson passed away on Friday, October 8, 1999 at St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 77. Frances will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Jean Hrynuik (Peter) as well as many family members and friends. She will be especially missed by her dear friend Skeezik (the cat) who gave her many years of playful companionship. Frances was predeceased by her parents, William and Anna Ivaniski; four sisters, Olga, Mary Johnson, Kay Halchuk and Julia; brother-in-law Harry Hyrnuik and recently by her husband James. Frances worked at Swifts Meat Packers until her retirement. She enjoyed social gatherings, gardening and spending time with family. Frances had a heart of gold which extended to helping others. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with visitation one hour before the service. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens with a gathering of friends and family in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. Pallbearers will be Nick and Robert Johnson, Nick Ivanski, Ken Nachtigall, Harold and Willie Halchuk. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frances memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 105-310 Broadway Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6 or the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3. Ken Halchuk and Norma Halchuk would like to extend special thanks to Ward 5B at the St. Boniface Hospital for their kind and compassionate care.
