VINCENT CHARLES BESTH November 24, 1924 - October 11, 1999 Peacefully on October 11, 1999, Vincent Besth passed away at the age of 74 years, at the Health Sciences Centre. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Sheila; daughters, Maureen (Tim) Silk and Elaine (Brady) Martin and grandchildren, Gary, Glen and Robert Silk, Devon and Alanna Martin. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Vince served overseas in Great Britain and Europe during the Second World War as a member of the Royal Winnipeg Rifles. He was an Honourary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus, East Kildonan Council #4107, serving as Grand Knight from 1965 to 1966. He was a Big Brother for many years, worked for Habitat for Humanity and volunteered within several other organizations. Msgr. Maurice Comeault will celebrate the Funeral Mass on Friday, October 15, 11:00 a.m. at St. Peters Church, 748 Keewatin St., with interment at St. Vital Cemetery. Viewing will be prior to Mass. A very special thank you to the devoted staff of GA4 for their exceptional care and compassion to both Vince and family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Health Sciences Centre Foundation Inc., MS7-820 Sherbrook St. or a charity of your choice. Leclaire Brothers in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
