Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANTHONY (TONY) DOWHAN On October 12, 1999 after a short illness, at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Tony Dowhan, aged 85 years, of Selkirk and formerly of Stead, MB. Tony was born in Stead, MB on August 8, 1914 and farmed at Glenmor for many years. In 1974 he moved to Selkirk upon retiring where he enjoyed fishing, growing a small garden and looking after his fruit trees. In May of this year he moved to Winnipeg to live with his family. He leaves to mourn his sister-in-law Boguslawa Dowhan; niece Helena Nowak and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Maria and Wawryk; three brothers, Alex, Mike and Nick and a sister Anastasia (Nellie). Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 14 at 10:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Fr. Harry Oliynek officiating. Interment in the all Saints Cemetery, Rivercrest. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
